F1 Sim Racing World Championship 2024: May Highlights and New Track Reveals

In May, the F1 Sim Racing World Championship is set to deliver an electrifying series of events, spanning from May 7th through May 9th. The competition kicks off in the virtual tracks of Mexico City, Mexico, and Sao Paulo, Brazil, promising high-intensity racing and strategic plays, especially in Sao Paulo which has moved from its traditional spot at the end of the calendar. This adjustment hints at an exciting shake-up in the championship dynamics.

The following day, May 8th, is dubbed “new track day,” featuring races on two newly introduced circuits: the vibrant Las Vegas, Nevada, and the desert track of Losail, Qatar. These additions are expected to test the drivers’ adaptability to new challenges, including high temperatures and tire degradation in Qatar’s demanding conditions.

The grand finale on May 9th will take place at Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi, mirroring the real-world F1 season’s conclusion. Known for its spectacular battles and critical title deciders, Yas Marina’s combination of long straights, fast corners, and chicanes promises a fitting climax to the event. The final day will differ slightly in format, with only one race being held – Abu Dhabi – where the F1 Sim Racing World Champion for 2024 will be crowned.

The event structure for each day begins with a qualifying show at noon (GMT +2), setting the stage for the evening’s main event, the races, which start at 5pm. Each race mirrors 50% of the real-life track distance, ensuring a packed schedule of racing action for fans to enjoy. The entire championship, including these thrilling May events, offers a showcase of the best in sim racing talent and is available for viewers on official F1 platforms.
