Fanatec’s Return Policy Explained (Step-By-Step Guide)

Fanatec has a solid track record of providing timely and attentive customer service, and the manufacturer’s return policy and warranty information is relatively fair and easy to understand. That being said, those policies do vary by region and there is some nuance to the proceedings.

As such, we decided it would be worthwhile to compile some information, tips and other details to help our readers navigate Fanatec’s return policy. Bear in mind that all of this information is current and accurate as of the time of this writing but is subject to change without notice.

What Is the Fanatec Return Policy?

Fanatec’s return policy varies quite a bit from region to region. For the purposes of this article, we will focus on the policies as they pertain to the United States market- by far the largest for Fanatec, accounting for nearly half of all traffic to their website.

Unopened/Unsatisfactory Products

Unopened or unsatisfactory Fanatec products (in working condition) may be returned within 14-days of receipt in its original packaging including any accessories. Once Fanatec receives the return, credit is returned to the card used to purchase the product(s) in the full amount minus the original shipping costs.

Note that customers are required to pay return shipping costs. If you are returning a product, we highly reccomend you choose a shipping method with tracking and insurance.

Defective Products

If you receive your Fanatec product in a state of damage or disrepair due to manufacturing defect or shipping problems, you can return it at any point in its original packaging including any accessories. When Fanatec receives your return and verifies the defect/damage, a full refund including both the original and return shipping costs will be applied to your card.

Note that if you paid for expedited shipping, you will only be refunded for normal shipping costs.
